Asian Diaspora brings together a host of researchers from diverse disciplinary backgrounds (including Women’s Studies, Dance, Geography, Sociology and Economics) to focus on the history, politics, culture and traditions of Asian communities who have migrated from the east, south and southeastern regions of Asia. Some of the topics and themes currently being explored by these scholars include:
• Transnational migration and labour market experiences in Canada;
• Centering marginalized voices and ways of knowing/being;
• Women’s rights;
• Immigrant and ethnic integration processes and the spatial manifestations of urban inequality
• Racism and racialization
