Yikun Zhao

Yikun is a doctoral candidate in Sociology at York University. She obtained her BA degree in English Linguistics and Literature from Beijing International Studies University and MSc degree in Administration (Marketing option) from Concordia University. She is also a doctoral research fellow at the Global Digital Citizenship Lab at York University. Yikun is interested in the areas of cultural and economic sociology, sociological theories, and digital research methods. Her dissertation examines the rise of etiquette and butler training practices and industry in China, a cultural and economic trend that has attracted media attention at home and abroad.
