Tasnuva is a Masters of Arts (MA) candidate in Development Studies at York University. Previously she has completed her Masters in Business Administrations (MBA) from the Independent University, Bangladesh (IUB). She was a research specialist for six years at the second largest telecommunication of Bangladesh, Vimpelcom Telecom Ltd. During her tenure she conducted over 200 social and market research projects. Her experience as a researcher taught her valuable skills such as project management, research methods, survey design and recording observations. Over the years she participated in several field works and developed a keen interest to pursue development studies. Her area of interest includes Information Communications for Development (ICT4D), human development, rural development, and agriculture for development. Being brought up in Bangladesh and her experience of the neighbouring countries fuelled her passion for the people and the rich culture of the South Asian region. For her MRP Tasnuva is pursuing research on the nexus of communications and human development of smallholder farmers in Bangladesh.
