Cailleah is a Toronto-based director with a BA in East Asian Studies and Visual Studies from the University of Toronto. Working in both documentary and fiction, she focuses on marginalized stories of young women and the queer community. Her work has been screened on Air Canada, Cinema Politica, and Bell TV. Cailleah’s current research is based in Yamagata, Japan. Her thesis is a fictional short film exploring the nature of familial responsibility, gender and self-representation in a cross-cultural Japanese household.
