Sai Latt

Sai Latt (Ph.D, Human Geography, SFU) has been involved in Myanmar's peace process since 2013 providing research-based technical and facilitation supports to non-state parties negotiating ceasefire agreements and political dialogue framework with the government of Myanmar. He also coordinates research activities in support of sub-national level civil society organizations in the context of the peace process. Since the government of Myanmar and eight non-state parties signed what is called Nationwide Ceasefire Agreement (NCA) in October 2015, Latt has provided research, facilitation and negotiation support to non-state members of the Joint Ceasefire Monitoring Committee. Sai Latt has recently initiated a preliminary study on policing and reform in the context of the peace process in Myanmar.
