I am a doctoral student in the Department of History at York University. I hold a BA and an MA in History from Wilfrid Laurier University and a BEd from Nipissing University. My doctoral research will investigate the history and impact of Maoist and Cultural Revolution art and culture in the United Kingdom, more specifically, the production, dissemination and use of propaganda within the Chinese community living in the UK during the 1960s and the 1970s. I also have a deep interest in the history of Hong Kong and its role in the Cold War between Britain and China.
