Monisha Poojary

Monisha Poojary is a Masters student in Sociology at York University. She graduated with an Honours Bachelor of Science from the University of Toronto in 2018. During her undergraduate, she pursued a double major in Psychology and Criminology along with a minor in Sociology. Monisha is interested in understanding the social and psychological impacts of migration, settlement and cultural displacement amongst South Asians in Canada and the United States. Her master's research will look at panethnicity and how South Asian identity is conceptualized within North American social science literature.
