Janice Phonepraseuth

Janice's research interests focus on the racial, ethnic and pan-ethnic identities of 1.5 and 2nd generation East and Southeast Asians. Her dissertation will compare how these individuals navigate racialization in their daily lives. The research also attempts to find differences among groups within the broader “Asian” category and seeks to highlight the resilient nature of these individuals.
In addition to working on her dissertation, Janice is obtaining YCAR's Graduate Diploma in Asian Studies (GDAS).
