Wendy A. Medina de Loera

Wendy is an international doctoral candidate in the Department of Geography at York University. She holds a MA in Southeast Asian Studies from the Center for Asian and African Studies at El Colegio de México, in Mexico City. Her current research focuses on the contemporary diversity of rural livelihoods in South Sulawesi, Indonesia to explore the ways in which the livelihoods of fishers, farmers and sand miners in the area have interacted, co-existed and (re)shaped each other.
