Dani Magsumbol

Dani is a doctoral student in Politics at York University. She completed her Honours BA and MSc in Planning (Social Planning) at the University of Toronto. Her master's research was an investigation into the public/private dichotomy of spaces in planning, using the case study of Filipinx women who were full-time live-in waged workers employed in the privacy of Canadian homes through the Live-in Caregiver Program (1992–2013). Her research interests include the Filipinx diaspora, migrant bodies as borders, migrants as capital in the global labour market, transnational motherhood/families, and urbanities.
