Yookyoung is Associate Research Fellow at Architecture and Urban Research Institute (AURI) in South Korea. She holds a PhD in Urban Design and Master of Architecture from Seoul National University. She also graduated from the École Nationale Supérieure de Paris-Belleville where she received a DPLG (diplôme d’architecte diplômé par le gouvernement). AURI is a national research institute founded in 2007 to support the national policies and promote the quality of architectural and urban spaces. From 2016 to 2017, she was manager of National Public Building Center (NPBC). At YCAR, Yookyoung is conducting a comparative study of Seoul and Toronto in terms of urban planning systems and street making processes. She will be a visiting scholar at YCAR until January 2019.
