Rommel C. Gavieta

Rommel C. Gavieta specializes in international infrastructure development and finance, commercial business district development linked to infrastructure projects. He advises the Chief of Staff, Armed Forces of the Philippines (AFP), on matters related to assessment of the long term strategic plans of the AFP. He teaches strategic management in MBA campus of Far Eastern University, and economic/financial/political risk assessment in the Strategic Intelligence Training School. He has worked with both the public and private sectors well as domestic and international institutions.
He is co-editor for the Formulation of Case/Industry Studies to Develop ASEAN Industry, Baselines and Benchmarks Reports for SMEs in Three Identified ASEAN Priority Sectors Study, funded by Japan-ASEAN Integration Fund. As an Asian Development Bank technical writer, he also worked on a project for the Establishment of e-Systems in Support of Infrastructure Finance in Asia. Dr. Gavieta has written a wide array of articles on mass transit and housing systems, currency exchange risk and financing structure, private funds, utility development and government policy.
He has a BSc in Architecture (minor in Political Science) an MA in Urban and Regional Planning (household energy planning), and an MSc in Engineering (airport project finance).
