Nivedita Das Kundu
Dr. Nivedita Das Kundu, (PhD) an academic with University teaching and think tank research experience. She completed her master's and doctoral studies from Jawahar Lal Nehru University, New Delhi and University of Helsinki. She did her post-doctoral study from Woodrow Willson Centre for Scholars, Washington DC. Her Ph.D and post-doctoral studies is in International Relations. She has authored two books and has been editor for six books on International Relations. She has contributed research papers and articles to various research journals, websites and newspapers. She has published chapters in edited books. She has additional qualification on women, borders and migration studies. Her research expertise focuses on geopolitics, foreign policy, strategic dimensions of security. She has presented papers and delivered lectures in various countries in international conferences and forums. Her accolades include prestigious state award “Pushkin Medal.” She is also CWC (Chemical Weapons Convention) Coalition member and works on WMD issues and concerns and participates regularly in meetings at Organisation for Prohibition of Chemical Weapons (OPCW) Hague. She is a board member and chair working group, Science for Peace, University of Toronto. She is a member of Indo-Canadian Chamber of Commerce. She is a director of Canada-India project for research and innovation (CIPRI) and co-project investigator of the project India-China relations: issues and emerging trends. She is fluent in English, Hindi, Bengali and Russian languages.
