Sheheryar Ahmed

Master's student, Graduate Programme in Humanities, York University

Sheheryar Ahmed is a Master's student in the Department of Humanities at York University. He holds a BA Political Science from York. His research interests include South Asian nationalism, colonial history, religion and literature. His current project engages with the question of national culture, postcolonial secularism and literary modernism around the time of Pakistan's independence in the writings of Faiz Ahmed Faiz and Muhammad Hasan Askari, among others.
