Coming a week after new statements on cross-straits relations by Chinese Communist Party Chairman Xi Jinping and Republic of China-Taiwan President Tsai Ing-wen, this talk by one of Taiwan’s leading international affairs analysts is a timely opportunity to look again at one of the world’s dangerous flashpoints.

Kwei-Bo Huang is Vice Dean at the College of International Affairs, and Associate Professor of Diplomacy at National Chengchi University, Taipei, Taiwan. A former diplomat, he is now Secretary-General of the Association of Foreign Relations.

This event is presented with the support of the Taipei Economic and Cultural Office, Toronto.
