You are invited to join us for a screening of 3 Seconds Divorce – An interactive documentary by Shazia Javed.  This web-based documentary investigates the issue of triple talaq in India. Triple talaq is a practice by which a Muslim man may divorce his wife by merely pronouncing the word ‘talaq’ (divorce) three times.

This i-doc introduces viewers to Riffat, who was divorced through triple talaq.     It features interviews with an activist and a religious leader who are on the opposing sides of the proposed ban on triple talaq.
