YCAR encourages and supports the public sharing of York-based research on Asia and Asian Diasporas. The Community Lecture and Performance Support fund provides small contributions to assist Faculty and Graduate Associates who wish to share their work with an off-campus audience in the Greater Toronto Area. Typically, these will be public lectures or performances given under the auspices of a community organization, school or public library. Amounts awarded will usually range from $50-300 and will assist with travel costs, printing, space rental and catering. YCAR will also assist with logistical arrangements and publicity.
