Emrah is a doctoral student in the Graduate Program of Social and Political Thought at York University, and his academic interests lie in the intersection of politics, history, language and culture of Asian countries such as Turkiye, China and Russia. Proficient in Turkish, Chinese and English, Emrah is also a member of the Canadian Society for the Study of Names (CSSN). His other field interests also include Onomastics, Food Politics, Turcology, Sinology, and Creative Writing.
