I am a doctoral student in social anthropology. I am interested in gender and health studies. My master’s thesis focused on concepts related to (oral) health in biomedicine and Chinese medicine. My PhD project will explore concepts and practices of feminine beauty and health in southern China with a focus on cosmetic surgery.
