YCAR at the Canada-Hong Kong Link Event “Hong Kong: Twenty Years after the Handover”

YCAR Associates Wendy Wong and Michael Stainton attended the Canada Hong Kong Link event “Hong Kong: Twenty Years after the Handover” on Saturday May 6, 2017. YCAR was recognized and thanked several times as one of the co-sponsors of this major event, featuring senior HK Democratic Party founder and legislator Martin Lee, respected Journalist Mak Yin-ting, and Umbrella Movement leader and Demosisto Party founder, Joshua Wong.  Michael and Wendy were seated at the two head tables with the guests and Canada Hong Kong link president Gloria Fung.

In the afternoon Wendy and Michael were part of a two hour private meeting between the HK visitors and invited Toronto human rights groups, discussing strategies to strengthen co-operation and effectiveness of our common work.
