YCAR Visiting Associate | Hue Le


leYCAR is pleased to welcome Hue Le to YCAR as a visiting scholar. Dr. Hue is a senior researcher and lecturer from the Center for Natural Resources and Environmental Studies (CRES), Vietnam National University, Hanoi. Her specialization and research focus is natural resource use and management, climate vulnerability and adaptation in the North, Central and Central Highlands of Vietnam. Dr. Hue is working with Lisa Drummond (Urban Studies) during her time in Toronto. They are collaborating on a co-authored paper (Le, Drummond, Danière) associated with the SSHRC-funded Water in the City project, and based on household survey data from Van Mon commune in Bac Ninh province. Dr. Hue presented a preliminary assessment of the survey data at last week’s Canadian Council for Southeast East Asian Studies (CCSEAS) conference held in Ottawa. Dr. Hue received her MA in Urban and Environmental Policy at Tufts University and her PhD in Agriculture and Rural Development at the Institute of Social Studies at The Hague, The Netherlands.
